  • Team Role/Function: Running 1 of the 2 legs from Miami to Key West. 85 miles straight.

  • How did you become a Castaway? Vince and I are running friends and he connected me and thought of me!

  • Why are you a Castaway? To raise money for a wonderful cause, to be part of an amazing team with a common goal, and for the adventure of a lifetime! I am super excited to challenge myself to run the furthest distance I have ever run.

  • What is your "essential gear" to be a good Castaway? A good attitude, a watch that lasts 24 hours, and lots of carbs to keep me happy

  • Tell us about your Family: Along with my parents, I have a twin brother, Cameron, and an older brother, Brad! Cameron lives in Denver, CO with his fiancé Kelsey, and Brad lives in Chicago, IL with his wife Steph.

  • Where are you from? Originally from Lake Forest, Illinois

  • Where'd you go to high school? Lake Forest High School

  • Where'd you go to College/Grad School? Bachelor's Degree-- Elon University, North Carolina, Master's Degree-- Edinburgh Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, PhD (ABD)-- University of Wisconsin-Madison

  • Where do you work? I am a Medical Teacher at Somerset Canyons in Boynton Beach, FL! I am also the Track and Field and Cross Country coach at the school.

  • Favorite music/artists: The Head and the Heart, Mt. Joy, Mumford and Sons

  • Favorite movies/genre: I love dramas! Or any movie with Robin Williams in it. Favorite one is Patch Adams or Good Will Hunting

  • Favorite books: N/A... I only read textbooks and research articles and those are not fun haha

  • Personal Fun Fact: I am pursuing my PhD in Physical Activity and Cancer research and I am certified in Cancer Rehabilitation! I have worked with cancer patients and survivors and help create exercise programs for them to help their quality of life, strength and endurance.

  • How have I helped carry out the CAC mission of funding cancer research and honoring those who have fought the fight? Putting one foot in front of the other!
